White dust are minerals that come from unfiltered water when it goes through a humidifier. This dust is being spread around with the humidified air. To prevent white dust from occurring, the water goes through wicking filters which separate the water and its minerals.

When the humidifier filters the water, an ultraviolet light is being used to kill any mold, bacteria, fungus, or viruses that could reside in it.

The water tank has a convenient handle making it easy to remove it when a refill is due. The tank is dishwasher ready and is generally easy to clean. In addition, the water tank is made from a single piece of plastic which means it won't start to leak.

It is extremely quiet on the lowest setting even though it is not an ultrasonic humidifier. In addition, the sound on the highest setting is very tolerable. It sounds like white noise which can help you fall asleep.

It’s a cool mist humidifier so it does not affect the room’s temperature in any meaningful way. Can be good if you’re living in a place where external heating can be detrimental.

On its lowest setting it can work nonstop for up to 24 hours without refilling the tank with water.
