If you are cooking food that requires over 30 minutes of cooking time, this can be a problem because the timer is only up to 30 minutes. For food requiring around an hour of cooking time, this will be not much of a problem because you need to add more time only once, but for food requiring over 1 hour of cooking time, that would mean resetting the timer two or more times in one cooking. That can be tiresome to do because you have to keep one ear on the oven timer all the time to make sure that you reset the timer as soon as it is up.
