Ranked in these QuestionsQuestion Ranking
Pro Allows future-scheduled or recurring emails on a very flexible basis
Go to this link for details on how this works and all the (many) possibilities you have for scheduling.
Pro Can use feature w/ just about any Gmail client
Since this feature works based on adding a string to the end of the subject line and is monitored from the cloud, you can use and change the send later time/date in just about any Gmail client where you can access drafts and change the subject line.
Pro Uses 24 hour time
For users who like the clarity of the 24 hour time system, it's nice to have this as the default.
Pro Get email receipt when emails are sent
You can get a receipt of when your (delayed) email is sent. This option is in the settings while installing. To change this setting after installing,,go ahead and reinstall, accept at the prompt, and change the setting.
Con Syntax for setting up is a bit technical
You have to add things like "@2017-07-01 04:00 repeat every month" at the end of the subject in your drafts folder. There is no convenient/intuitive interface or natural language to make this easier.
Take a look at the documentation to see if this is for you.
Con You have to give MailConductor access to your Gmail account
One possible concern is if you are particularly worried about privacy.
Con Does not uninstall cleanly
Many users are getting emails from Google Scripts with error logs every day because of Mail Conductor. Instructions to uninstall are to install the add-on again, and then to click the uninstall button at the bottom of the screen where a few options/settings are.
Con Requires leaving the email in your drafts until you are done with it
MailConductor keeps track of the emails to send by specially formatted emails in your drafts folder.
Con No 12-hour time system option
For users unaccustomed to the 24-hour time system, they're out of luck as there is no 12 hour am/pm time system option with this service.
Con Difficult to send an email in a different time zone
This service is limited to the selected time zone when installing the service. To change the user's time zone, one must update the setting by reinstalling the service. Users of this service must offset the time difference between user and destination and set the (offset calculated) time in the user's time zone.
Con This is a closed source Google Script
The user is allowing people to use a google script but is not allowing people access to the code. The upside is there's no addon/extension to install. It's all performed via Google Scripts/ the cloud.
