Sennheiser RS195 Review

The sound quality of these headphones is comparable with Sennheiser's wired audiophile headphone offerings. However, you get to enjoy the audio without the wires. The receiver has digital and analog connections, so the RS195 will work with a wide range of old as well as modern audio sources.

The base station of these headphones features three input connections: optical, 3.5mm and RCA. The base station can transmit sound from a wide range of sources including TVs, computers, home theater receivers/players and old devices which do not have native wireless connectivity.

On its normal setting, the sound signature is fairly balanced with good sound clarity. Highs are airy, mids sound natural and are easily heard. Bass does not have lot of power, but still has good punch to add body to the sound.

There are 5 different profiles that can change the way these headphones sound, like increasing the bass or highs. It also has sound modes that perform various functions, like making vocals more prominent.

From a full charge, these headphones can play audio for up to 18 hours straight.

You do not need to fiddle with charging cables and small power ports on the headphones. Simply make sure that the headphone stand is plugged into a power source, and then place the headphones on the stand as instructed. The stand doubles as a charging dock which should allow for convenient charging.

Thick and quality foam material is used as cushioning on the headband and the ear cups. These make the headphone feel soft and comfortable on the head.
