The Eco Classica is a dual-sided mattress, with one side firmer than the other. You can initially use the firm side for your infant and you can transfer the mattress to a toddler bed and use the softer side when he outgrows the crib.

Babies sleep and are exposed up-close to the mattress for at least 14 hours a day, during their most fragile years. They are prone to breathing in and absorbing, through their skin, whatever chemicals are in a regular, non-organic mattress. The Eco Classica is Greenguard Gold Certified, meaning it generates no harmful emissions, ensuring that your baby won't be exposed to them.

The first two layers of the mattress are 100% organic cotton and they act as flammability barriers. It will not catch fire and resists heat in the event of a fire.

Liquid has no means of permeating the surface. The foam inside stays dry forever and no harmful fungi will ever build up. It lets nothing into the mattress.

The cotton cover and foam core are created to allow air and heat passage, keeping your baby cool and comfortable during warm days. It also retains your baby's body temperature when it gets cold.

A firm mattress eliminates the chances of babies getting stuck in dips or indentations which can result in suffocation if they are face down.

When your baby starts to crawl and stand on his own, he will need a surface that resists against pressure, push-ups and helps strengthen his muscles.

This mattress is six inches thick, which ensures that your standard-size crib sheets are really tight and snug. When your baby moves around on a thinner mattress, the sheet might loosen from the edges and crumple up and cause suffocation when it ends up covering his nose.

It is easy to lift the mattress from the crib, even with just one hand, due to its 9.6 pounds weight. Changing sheets in the middle of the night is a piece of cake.
