Pros
Pro Provides constant supply of compost
Thanks to the two chamber design you can multitask with the composter. Start your compost on one of the chambers and as soon as you see the matter decayed and cured you can start adding your scraps into the second area. By the time you have used all the compost from the first side, the second side will be ready and vice versa.
Pro Easy to clean
Since the side panels are removable, it’s very easy to clean. Just use a water hose to wash the inside of the composter, dry everything out and put the panel back.
Pro Fast composting times
Because of the regulated ventilation and heating mechanism, the first batch of compost will be ready in a month or two, while other methods can take as much as 6 months.
Pro Requires almost no attention
Since there are no worms or any other living creature involved you have to pay very little attention to the bin. The only thing you need to do is to rotate the chamber every couple of days.
Pro Rodent proof
Since the tumbler is high from the ground and hasn’t any large openings it will not be invaded by rodents or raccoons.
Cons
Con Time consuming assembly
The assembly process is tricky and involves a lot of screws and parts. Expect that it will take around 1 hour or more to fully assemble it.
Con Isn’t odourless
Since there is rotting involved, expect that the area around the composter will smell. You can reduce that however by adding yard clippings or paper to the mix.
Con Tends to collect rainwater
The grips on the tumbler tend to collect water so be careful on not pouring the water on yourself when turning the bin.
Con Small openings
The openings are small, so you have to be careful if you are trying t empty a whole leftover bin in it.
