The LucidSound LS20 is an on-ear gaming headset which can also double as a mobile headset for taking calls. The LS20 is an active headset, so it requires battery power for it’s functions, even if it is a wired headset. You get powerful bass with good mids and highs as well as very good build quality without the typical garish gaming headset look. This is a great headset for gamers who prefer understated designs over futuristic-looking ones.

Pros
Pro Very good build quality
The LS20 won’t get damaged easily. It features a metal construction on the headband which can take a good amount of flex without feeling like it’ll break. Quality leather materials are used on the headband as well as the ear cups.
Pro Balanced sound quality
The LS20 should work great both for gaming and general music listening thanks to it’s balanced sound quality. The bass is not overpowering, but instead is fast, punchy and tight. The mids do not get lost in the mix and have a natural tone, while the highs deliver good detail without getting harsh in any way.
Pro Multiple audio profiles
You’ll be able to get optimal sound from the gaming platform that you’ll be using the LS20 in. Simply hold down the headset’s power button to cycle between PC, Xbox One as well as PS4 settings. The headset also has a bass boost function which should give you extra oomph in the low-end.
Pro Two microphones
With the LS20, you’ll have a choice between two microphone setups. One is an integrated microphone on the left ear cup, while the other is a boom microphone that you can attach/detach from the left ear cup. This can be helpful if you prefer not having a boom mic in front of your face, or if you want to use the headset for taking calls while on the go.
Cons
Con Not very comfortable
You may feel some pain or discomfort when wearing the headset for extended periods of time. The clamping force is quite tight, while the on-ear design means that pressure is applied onto the ears.
Con Requires battery power
Despite being a wired headset, you’ll need to charge the LS20 for it to function optimally. Its internal amplifiers require extra battery power, so when the battery runs out ( 20 hours playback from a full-charge ), the headset will run in passive mode, which does not sound as rich or full as when it is charged.
Con Decent to poor mic quality
You won’t get amazing voice chat clarity from the LS20’s microphone. The boom mic is decent as best, while the integrated microphone is not very good, with in-game audio easily overpowering the mic’s output.
