Sensor and DPI options ensure fluid and optimal gaming performance
The Avago 3310 sensor used by this mouse is exceptional. It delivers a true portrayal of mouse movement with no jitter, acceleration or prediction. The available DPI choices of 400/800/1600/3200 are all native and should ensure an equally good performance, regardless of which one is chosen.

Pro
Ergonomic, accommodating shape, especially for those with big hands
Though it may look tame, the mouse’s shape is quite ergonomic. Its subtle curves help your fingers position themselves while also allowing various grip types. For the same reason, the bulge of the mouse is located strictly in the middle, making it accommodating for the most amount of people, and even more for gamers that have big hands. Nevertheless, it may be more suited for palm grips because of the subtle curve at the right side which provides support for the ring and pinky fingers.

Highly customizable
The G502 gaming mouse has 11 programmable buttons, support for macros and profiles, adjustable weight and center of balance, two scroll wheel modes, and a plethora of settings to customize. In addition to the standard left, right, and scroll wheel buttons, there's a button below the scroll wheel, three thumb buttons, two buttons to the left of the left mouse button and you can tilt the mouse wheel left and right for extra functionality as well. All of these buttons can be programmed to do pretty much whatever you want. The scroll wheel can act as a smooth unhindered scroll or a notched scroll depending on how you want to use it. It has an on-the-fly CPI switch with 5 states and the mouse can store three different macro profiles and can switch between them with a button press. You can also customize the weight of the gaming mouse between 121-139 grams and its center of balance with up to five 3.6 gram weights to adjust how it feels as it moves across your mousepad.

Too heavy for competitive FPS
Most competitive FPS gaming mice aim to weigh under 100 grams. The G502 weighs 121 grams, which can be further increased to 139 grams with extra weights. The increased weight makes it more difficult to move quickly. It also means your hand will get tired quicker.

Changing the surface setting in the app may potentially cause random spinning ingame for a random period of time (usually ~5sec). Well suited for fingertip and claw grips
Unless you have small hands, this is a mouse that is meant for people who use either the claw or fingertip grip. In addition to being a small mouse and having low height, it's also extremely light, weighing only 68 grams. This makes it easy to control with a fingertip and claw grip as it relies on the mouse being as agile as it can be.
Top
Con
Small size takes some getting used to
The Roccat Lua is a small mouse, measuring only 11.5 cm in length and 3 cm in height. The width is pretty standard with 6.5 cm at the back and narrows down towards the front. The small size might raise some concern about the grip. If it’s your first mouse of this size you might need to adjust your grip to accommodate for the smaller scale of the mouse. Commonly the grips change and include some elements of a fingertip grip.

Pro
Well built
Even though it’s a budget mouse, it has high quality components to ensure that the mouse can last for years. There are no unnecessary moving parts while button clicks are clear and don’t give out after heavy use. Good amount of customization provided by the accompanying software
The software is very simple and easy to use. It lets you change the DPI steps, double click speed, vertical scroll speed, polling rate, very basic lighting control and the choice of hand-mode. In addition, it has the option to reassign its buttons, but since the Lua has only four buttons it’s practically useless as the main three are almost always invariable.
Top
Con
Can suffer from small amounts of jitter on high DPI values
This mouse's DPI setting can be set from 250 to 2000, in increments of 250. At DPI settings higher than 1250, it can generate small amounts of jitter. The mouse works the best at 500 DPI with a 1000Hz polling rate.
Top
Pro
Excellent budget sensor
The Avago A3050 optical sensor that the Lua uses has small, unnoticeable prediction and doesn’t carry over perfect tracking at high speeds (depending on the chosen DPI setting, over 60-120 inches per second or 1.5 m/s-3 m/s). But unless you use it at extremely low sensitivity, it shouldn’t be a problem. When reaching such speeds, some negative acceleration may be noticed.

Exceptionally comfortable for palm grips
The Mionix Naos 7000 gaming mouse was designed for a full five-fingered palm grip. It has concaved left and right buttons to help fingers stay in place, textured sides to help with grip, and supports for the thumb, ring, and pinky fingers. Larger than a typical gaming mouse, its ergonomic shape is very comfortable for long gaming sessions.

Con
Software is Windows-only
The software does not support Linux or macOS operating systems, meaning the mouse can't be configured under them. However, if you have access to a Windows PC, you can configure the mouse on that device. And because the configuration and profiles will be saved on the device itself, you can use them on Linux and macOS.

Con
Somewhat heavy
Being that this is a wireless mouse there is the battery weight to contend with. Batteries in the weight of the device is 152 grams, which isn't all that bad considering but still not for users that like a lighter mouse. The mouse can also be used with a single battery, which is useful for not only reducing weight but also for balancing the mouse. With two batteries the mouse can be a bit slipper on the right side when picking it up as the pinkie and ring fingers don't have as much to grip - but balancing the weight over towards the thumb allows the mice to be more easily picked up as the side buttons allow for a decent place to grip.
