Pro Hand assembled in America
Grado Labs first started in the 50's, and to this day still hand craft all their products in their Brooklyn plant.
Pro Very comfortable
They are lightweight and very comfortable to wear, even for extended periods of time. The weight is well dispersed, and overall feels very solid. It's easy to forget that you're wearing headphones at all.
Pro Excellent midrange quality
These headphone follow typical Grado fashion: the focus is on the midrange with treble and bass there to accompany the midrange. The bass and treble aren't overblown like some headphones.
Pro Natural sound
Open-back headphones allow for a more natural, spacious sound than closed-back headphones.
Con Very bulky plug
The plug is very large, and if you use a case on your phone, it's likely that you won't be able to fit in all the way.
Con No barrier for the sound
Unlike regular (closed-back) headphones, open-back headphones have very little material stopping sound from coming in/going out of the earpiece. That means that they really are like two speakers next to your ears, and others around you will be able to hear your audio unmuffled. That also means that you will be able to hear everything from your surroundings. Closed-back headphones are not ideal for public areas.
Con Barebones accessories
There is no included case, no in-line remote, and no microphone.
