Vasque St. Elias GTX Review

The boots are relatively lightweight for hiking boots. They have a snug fit around the ankles due to a great ankle collar and are flexible enough to give lots of mobility due to the midsole having EVA cushioning pads.

It's a full-leather construction that uses nubuck leather, a top-grain cattle leather that's similar to suede. The boot has some overlays that give durability to places where wear and tear is more common and a durable toe ram in the front giving lots of protection.

Good traction is provided in all kinds of weather and all kinds of surfaces.

Own insoles can be used.

The boot has a Gore-Tex lining giving it waterproof breathable protection.

As they are leather boots, they do require some break-in time, but it's just about 5-6 hours on average.
