Updated
This phone has been discontinued because the battery is known to be unstable, and some have even exploded. If you have one, please return yours - Samsung is offering alternatives (typically the Galaxy S7 Edge) for a limited time.
Specs
Pros
Pro S- Pen is the best phone stylus out there
The Galaxy Note 7 has a digitizer dedicated to the S-pen. This allows it to register pressure sensitivity (press down hard for a thicker line, press lightly for a thin line), and it can also sense when you are hovering the S-Pen over the display. Doing so in the browser will show any dropdown menus.
Pro Great tapered design
Both the front and rear glass are tapered off - the rear glass makes it more comfortable to hold as there aren't any sharp edges, while the front tapers to make it look like it doesn't have any side bezels. The front tapering is much more subtle than the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, which could sometimes register your palm when reaching over with your thumb.
Pro Waterproof
The Note 7 is the first waterproof Note device. With a rating of IP68, it can be submerged in 1.5m of fresh water for 30 minutes. You won't need to worry about getting it wet in the rain at all, and can even take some underwater pictures/videos (just be sure you don't take it too deep).
Cons
Con Batteries can overheat and explode
There are over 100 reports of exploding batteries in the first batch of Note 7's and their replacements (1st has white battery indicator, 2nd has a green battery indicator).
Due to these reports of exploding batteries no matter the batch they came from, all US carriers have dropped the phone, no longer selling it.
Samsung has asked all users to power down their device and exchange them for a different Samsung phone. You can read about the recall and exchange program here.
