The Kindle Voyage gradually changes screen brightness based on how bright or dark the reading conditions are. This enables users to read material in any environment from a dark room to outside in the sun. This feature can also be adjusted manually. See More
On each side of the Kindle Voyage, pressure sensitive areas are embedded into the bezel so pages can be turned either direction without lifting a finger. Once the pressure sensitive pad is activated, it gives tactile feedback. This tactile feedback can be lowered or raised (3 settings total) depending on the users preference. See More

The Kindle Voyage has a new function for its backlight called "Nightlight". What this does is gradually lower the backlight brightness in a dark room as the readers eyes get more accustomed to being in darkness. This makes reading even less of an eye strain (when in a dark room) and also may conserve some battery life. See More
