Trakt is one of my favorite sites on the whole dang internet! Not only is it a treasure trove of movie and TV information in a format entirely unlike IMDb, but the community is fantastic and full of the most insightful reviews and commentary. I love never having to wonder about where I am in watching a series, even if I started watching it years ago and then got distracted with other things. The amount of data analysis they provide on the actors you like, networks you favor and even the times and days you watch things is fascinating and fun to share. Most of all, as a software developer myself, I've learned more about good UI/UX design and philosophy just from using the site than any course I've ever taken or keynote I've listened to. The free site does everything you could want, but the little extras you get for the $30/year membership like a custom Google Calendar with just the shows you like to watch and access to the community forum makes it some of the best money I spend all year.
