Rayman Legends is a 2D hand drawn side scrolling platformer. Reminiscent of Saturday morning cartoons, the animation and art style alone make for a game that visually appeals. Luckily the gameplay is just as solid as the game looks, with great level design and tight controls, the platforming is just impeccable.

Pros
Pro There is no need to earn your skills with drawn out gameplay, all skills are unlocked from the beginning
Unlike Rayman Origins, Legends has all of Rayman's powers unlocked from the beginning. Players are able to jump float, wall run, and attack starting at the first level. This way the gameplay is not drawn out with trying to earn these skills.
Pro Great local co-op that works well with single room group play
Up to four local players can play on a single screen at the same time in Rayman Legends. This is not often the norm on PC, but is starting to become more common in new releases. It is especially good for those with Steam Machines or living room PCs that can host a number of friends in one room.
Pro Visually impressive mechanics bring the boss stages alive
The visual mechanics in the boss stages are pretty impressive. These sequences use three-dimensional rendering but still hold to the 2D graphical look of the game. This allows for bosses that weave in and out of the player’s plane, as well as attacks that can come from the foreground or background depending on where the boss is located.
Pro Fun daily and weekly online challenges that keep the player busy with new things to do
There are daily and weekly online challenges that enable players to compete against their friends or the high score chart. This gives the player something new to accomplish in the game on a daily and weekly basis.
