New updates are rolling every time, and the game has a dedicated fan base of around 200.000 people. Any time you log in, day or night, you can see there are from 20.000 to 60.000 people connected to their servers.
Cons
Con Soft simulator
The aim of Warthunder is to appeal to everyone, meaning that even on the most hardcore settings, it's softer compared to games like Il-2 Sturmovik. Don't get me wrong, it will still be a great challenge, but appealing to the masses means no options for handling special equipment like plane's radars, night vision(in development), etc. However, options for handling advanced engine's aspects, like fuel-air mix and superchargers are present.
Con Long free-to-play grind
Without the supplement of payed currency, it may take a long time to reach the end of tech trees, and you NEED to do that if you intend to play with Jet Aircraft.
Con No heat seeking missiles(yet)
War Thunder is developed in eras(tiers), and the most advanced airplanes present in the game are from the Vietnam era. Players who would like to fly 80's aircraft will have to wait a long time till the devs add them.
Con Weird tier system
There are many blueprint vehicles available that never existed in real life or were developed years later. For example, WW1 planes fight against WW2 planes, German WW2 planes fight against the Allied jet planes.
Con Requires a lot of space
This game is a huge game to download and keep updating it almost every week with each update being almost 2 GB.
