If you look closely, all these brands represent the exact same board (a popular board produced in China). "Backfire / Falcon" are the original manufacturer names, and "Luoov / Melon" are just names the resellers had the Chinese manufacturer print on their board, in efforts to re-brand it as their own. Various options they may have changed to re-brand it are wheel color options, logos, and battery size (either 4ah or 8ah).
SpecsUpdate
Pros
Pro Great specs for the price
The board can reach speeds of 18.6 mph (some references say 20 mph), with a range of 13 to 15 miles with the 8 Ah battery or 7 to 9 miles with the 4 Ah battery. Prices can range anywhere from $500 to $800, depending on where you're shopping.
Pro Reliable wireless remote
The board doesn't use your expensive smartphone as a controller, but rather a tough, lightweight, small, comfy, and simple wireless remote. The remote handles acceleration and braking, can be used to set cruise control, and includes an LED battery level indicator.
Pro Quality parts
The board features well-made parts with good fit and finish. The downside is that they are manufactured in China, which may make it hard to get a warranty to cover them.
Cons
Con Inconsistent braking
The brakes are not very smooth, and can actually be jerky at times. This can be dangerous at first. It’s recommended that you adjust your stance to become more stable if/when the board jerks, which will help prevent accidents.
It's worth noting that the GoBoard Canada Backfire Boards will have adjusted brake control to allow better feel. This will also help prolong belt life.
