Pros
Pro Multi platform
Powershell Core works on Windows, Linux and Mac. There is also an open source implementation Pash which allows the same language to be run on other OSes.
Pro Intuitive, very readable syntax and conventions.
Intuitive syntax that can often be understood at a glance, provided best practices as adhered to, with "cmdlet" names and parameters often describing their function (Get-ChildItem, Remove-Item, Export-XML -Path C:\Temp\temp.xml etc). When done correctly, PowerShell scripting is verbose but very readable and easily understood, but has such flexibility and in-built aliasing that you aren't prevented from making terse symbol-and-abbreviation filled one-liners if you prefer.
Pro You can use most of the commands that you use now in Bash and Cmd
You can use most of the common commands from Bash and CMD with very similar results and can use bin commands from cmd and Linux to get the exact same results, e.g. LS results look similar to Bash’s LS and ls.exe (if in path) is the same.
