All books are automatically divided in categories such as "not read", "borrowed", "purchased", "recently read", and "recently added" and additional categories can be added manually. They can be sorted by various criteria including "title", "author", "publisher", "date of addition", and "number of pages". Great for managing large quantities of books. See More

iBooks does use .epubs for its eBooks but sadly they are encrypted with their own proprietary DRM called Fair Play. This means any .epub that has Apples DRM purchased from iBooks will not be able to be used in other .epub eBook readers. See More
I just can't get myself to read books. I've gotten myself to eat bad sushi at one point of time, but books I just can't do. Unless it's a course I've to have to complete. For example, I completed 360 pages of 'Drawing on the right side of the brain' in 7 years. With the help of iBooks, I have been able to complete books right then and there. If not complete, at least figure out of it's worth downloading with the help if OSX TTS on iBooks. Thanks for the accessibility addition. People like me even bought Kindle but just that reading out loud works better if the books aren't a prescribed syllabus. See More
