Pros
Pro Battles take place on multiple planets
Planetary Annihilation features sprawling maps that can take players to multiple planets and moons in any given match, allowing players the freedom to set up several bases of operation throughout each skirmish. With this power to play on any celestial body the players desire, battles will often ensue, tasking you with fighting battles on multiple surfaces, even at the same time, making this an RTS on a grand scale.
Pro Picture in Picture lets players see where the action is
Featuring a Picture in Picture mode, players are able to keep tabs on any area, or planet, that they are currently not viewing in the main screen. While it may appear to be a complicated mechanic, it gives each player the ability to quickly view what action is taking place in-game, whether it be an army assaulting your base, or doomsday weapons being constructed by yourself or your foe. Thus, this mode enables players to see where they need to be and jump to that location at a moment's notice.
Pro New, apocalyptic ways to win
Have you ever wanted to win a match so badly, and with such fervor, that you'd completely destroy the planet you were on to attain victory? With Planetary Annihilation: TITANS you have the option at your disposal, as instead of relying on nuclear arsenals as an end-game weapon, you can now fabricate a building whose sole purpose is to completely destroy the planet it was built on, allowing a wholly new, devastating way to win a match.
Pro Active modding scene gives players a slew of options and upgrades
Planetary Annihilation: TITANS has in-game modding support, meaning you will never have to leave the title in order to download any mod you desire. While some mods add necessary features, such as Planetary Annihilation and TITANS community chat, others add an entire faction with over a hundred units to play, and multiple new community-made maps, further increasing the longevity of the title.
Pro Picture-in-picture mode allows for better monitoring
A picture-in-picture mode permits players to keep tabs on any area or planet that they are currently not viewing in the main screen. While it may cause complications in trying to keep track, it does open up an easy way to quickly viewing what is going on elsewhere in the game.
Cons
Con Requires high specs
While not explicitly stating what generation, or type, of graphics card is required, even for minimum specifications, the title recommends at least 8 to 12 Gigabytes of RAM. Thus, a semi-high-end computer or laptop are recommended in order to run this title at a stable framerate.
Con Titan units have poor pathfinding
With the addition of Titan units in this Standalone expansion, comes new ways to obliterate your enemies. However with the sheer, massive size of the units, coupled with their slow movement speed, these units can quickly find themselves at the back of an army, even struggling to find their way up ramps and hills. Due to this, you will likely see your army move in without Titan support allowing your end-game unit to be overrun.
