With DLC there are quite a few cars to choose from, including the Delorian from Back to the future. Create a custom car by choosing paint scheme, color, paint type(gloss/flat, ect.) wheels, boost color, hat and antenna toppers. Countless possibilities, with more to come.

A rare feature for a PC game, you can play with friends in the same room, made easier with wireless controllers. Obviously a larger monitor would make this experience more enjoyable, but even on a 20 inch screen it is playable with minimal detail loss.

The physics in the game slightly bend reality , which makes for a fun experience where everything seems to be behaving as though there is less gravity, which means cars can somewhat fly around if the hit each other or go up ramps.

 Tons of fun for players looking to team up with friends

Rocket League is perfect for when you want to play with friends for some couch co-op or online play. Matches are fast-paced and quick, with a bunch of back-and-forth between which team has the ball and which team has chances to intercept and get the ball on their side of the field. Coordinating with your team can open up some awesome plays where you manage to outscore the other players or get some exciting last-minute intercepts. Plus, playing with a pre-set team helps you avoid the randomness of getting matched up with strangers who may or may not want to be team players.

Whether you use a controller or keyboard and mouse, the controls are fairly simple. You are driving a car pushing a ball around, with forward, reverse, boost, power-slide and jump as your only real abilities to learn. The difficulty comes in learning to use these abilities to perform in air and off the wall maneuvers that will make for breath-taking replays and make the unexpected play.

From rolling logs, rotating parts of the range, and super-speed convener belts, the more difficult ranges have obstacles which would be virtually impossible in real-world minigolf. If you want to go even more interesting, you can change your golf balls out for cones, which will roll unpredictably and turns the difficulty up to 11.

Some of the ranges have obstacles which are hard to see before shooting - for example jumps over a streams, drops, or other obstacles. You can zoom out and pan around from your starting position, but you can't preview the range from the top.

There is an actual sanctioning body for the game called FIRST that keeps players in line making for a non toxic community that behaves professionally. If a player races aggressively or continually breaks the rules of the rod their license will receive infractions that will soon label that person as one to stay away from.

Once the subscription is paid there is no set path for the user. Everything is open to the player meaning they can choose what to do and where to go. This makes for a completely open-ended title that allows for a fresh experience anytime the player wants.

The controls for the game are very precise and in being so is best played with a driving wheel with petals and a shifter. Trying to play with a gamepad does work but will really inhibit the players controls especially if they are competing in online races.

MotoGP 17's managerial mode gives you control over a team's resources to lead your riders to the World Championship. It has some interesting features that have potential for more additions in future games in the series. Working behind-the-scenes, you'll invest resources into improving your riders' skills, like with nutrition programs and athletic training. As your team wins more races, you'll gain more visibility and have a better selections of paid sponsors to choose from, earning you more money. As you earn more money, you'll be able to afford faster motorcycles, making your team even better. All of these systems have the promise for more improvements and depth, but what's available is plenty of fun to experiment with.

 Racing is fun and the controls are responsive

In MotoGP 17, you'll race at full speed to push ahead of the pack of other motorcycles, using the game's tight controls to your advantage to make narrow turns before accelerating again. Keeping that balance between speed and strategic slowdowns is exhilarating when you manage to pull it off and win race after race. You'll get to feel the weight of the motorcycle in your hands through the controller. The vibrations mimic the engine and your wheels grinding against the asphalt of the tracks, making you feel like your hands are right on the handles of your motorcycle. The smooth, responsive controls help to make sure that every race is all about your skills as the player, so you won't have to worry about laggy button inputs when going for difficult turns. No music plays during races, but listening to the buzzing of your motorcycle's engine is addicting and doesn't get old.

For new players, you're able to adjust settings in the menu to give you an easier time controlling your motorcycle. You can set colored path lines along the track that you can follow if you need some help with getting ready for turns ahead of time. There are also options to manually lower the AI difficulty to get you used to the game's learning curve. As you become more skilled at the game, you can gradually wean yourself off of these tools. They're great for anyone who wants to reach those expert levels of play, but might be discouraged by all the new mechanics that come with the racing game genre.

For anyone looking for customizable difficulties in a racing game, MotoGP has plenty of settings that you can fine-tune to match your skill level. Longtime racing fans can jump right into races at higher difficulties, or you can tweak the AI settings to be more challenging across the board. For tournaments, there's a ramp-up in difficulty from the qualifying rounds to the ranked races, so veterans will find a good challenge in adjusting to each race on the fly.

The game has overused, repetitive animations,and lifeless movement from crowd NPCs during matches. Overall there's a general emptiness in the environments. There's a lack of emotion and soul in MotoGP 17, making the game feel unfinished and unpolished. It's not a pleasing game to look at, and it might break immersion for you if you're looking for something that's more realistic and lively.

During qualifier rounds where there should be a reasonable amount of difficulty, the AI is deceptively easy. You'll end up winning races with a false sense of security, only to find much harder ones later on. It makes things confusing when trying to figure out your skill level and where you might need to improve.

Each car in F1 2018 is a faithful rendition of real-life motorsport racing, giving you control of awesome cars like the Mercedes, McLaren, Ferrari, and other brands. You'll drive in first-person view from the cockpit, getting to see the car up-close and personal, like how the huge front wheels at either side of you run at full speed and curve with your movements. The true-to-life tracks are straight out of locations from across the world. The game's weather is also spectacular to look at, like the sunny skies reflecting off of your car's coat of paint. When it's raining, you're get to see every detail from the open cockpit, with every drop of rainwater dripping down your helmet.

 Fast, fun races with on-the-fly strategies

To win races in F1 2018, it comes down to learning when to make those hard turns, when to be aggressive, and when to take the risk of making pit stops. Driving fast is exhilarating as you feel the car's wheel in your hand through your controller or peripheral wheel. You play the long game in F1 2018, making quick judgment calls on when the best time is to make a pit stop, even if it means losing your lead in the race. When you know you won't be able to make it to the finish line, that's when you'll want to stop. If you want to push your car past its limits, then you can decide to keep going and do your absolute best to drive better and shave off even more time. As you keep playing, this cerebral risk/reward aspect will come more naturally to you, helping you improve your races down the line.

 You get to enjoy time in the media spotlight throughout the story

During the story, you get to experience what it's like having the media's attention on you as a pro racer. The reporters come up to you with a camera and prepared questions, asking you about the results of the race -- whether you win or lose -- as a way to probe how you feel. If you give good PR responses about team morale and doing better next time, then your sponsors may see this as a good thing, if and only if that's the kind of reputation they want you to have. But they may want someone who's more of a lone wolf and boasts about their own performance, so that same sponsor won't respond well to your sportsmanship. It's a cool way to feel involved in the sport, giving the sense that you're representing not only yourself, but also your team and your sponsors.

 Reused driver animations from F1 2015, F1 2016, and F1 2017

Yet again, this latest iteration of the F1 series has too many recycled assets. During the victory segments, the drivers have reused animations to express excitement over their awards. Popping bottles of champagne and spilling the contents out in glee is great in moderation, but it gets old after a while. Certain drivers may not have the personality to do that, so for fans who follow the racers in real life, it can be a strange thing to see.

Compared to the smooth graphics for cars, tracks and weather, the human models look terrible in comparison. Their skin textures look unfinished and they lack detail. It can be distracting and jarring to go from great-looking races to scenes with the drivers. They do look better than the ones in F1 2017, but not by much. Models for key characters in the career mode are thankfully a bit more polished.

The game gives you a bunch of options to make everything custom-fit for you. There are settings like hiding elements on the screen during races, setting the time of day and the weather you'd like for each track, and tweaking the AI difficulty to your liking. In the career more, there's also an in-depth Research and Development skill tree, improved from F1 2017, with dozens of upgrade options for your car. If the R&D skill trees looks too complicated, you can always go with the recommended options instead.

NBA 2K18's controls are very sharp and responsive, allowing you to use just about any basketball maneuver and trick with ease. From fast passes, 2-handed dunks, alley-oops to fake-outs, cross-overs, and even changing the rhythm of your dribbling. It simply feels good to play whether you're on offense or defense.

The lighting and reflections are excellent, the player models are very detailed, and the animations when players move around are extremely fluid.  Very grindy career mode is an attempt to make you purchase microtransactions

Practically everything in NBA 2K18's career mode needs to be unlocked with VC (virtual currency). From customization elements like haircuts, to gameplay oriented aspects such as stat upgrades for your custom basketball player. It takes really long to gather enough VC to buy anything, and after a few purchases it starts feeling incredibly tedious. You might even be tempted to buy VC with real money, which could be the main reason why the developers went with this game design choice.

While the gameplay on the court looks and plays amazing, NBA 2K18 is very inconsistent in across the board. This includes poor facial expressions and lifeless eyes on some character models, meaningless and illogical story elements in the MyGM mode, very basic and empty outdoor locations in MyNeighborhood, and even an AI that sometimes forgets what its doing during a game. All of the issues add up and take away from the realism NBA 2K18 is striving for.

 Interesting risk-reward mechanic for taking those goal-scoring shots

When going for that goal-scoring power kick, there's an optional second button press at just the right time after your kick has been charged. If executed properly, it's very satisfying to watch the ball go flying past the goalie. If you mess up the timing, you will miss the shot. It's a simple, but effective risk-reward mechanic that gives you pause to whether or not the extra power in your kick is worth it. While it's definitely a skill that takes a little while to learn and master, scoring goals is definitely more powerful and exciting when you get the timing just right.

 Greatly revamped ball handling over previous FIFA titles

Ball handling and physics are more realistic this time around, making controlling the ball, kicking, and performing tricks much more rewarding. As the ball bounces and slides around you, you'll have to actively work to maintain control. This makes pulling off a tricky pass or getting through a wall of defenders require a bit of skill and finesse, and as a result, makes ball control much more engaging and requiring more input from you than previous titles.

 An authentic and immersive soccer experience

There are many fine details which go into making this a truly great experience for soccer enthusiasts. For starters, the players are based on real league players, all with their own unique look and mannerisms, so you'll be able to play with and against all your favorites. There are 16 stadiums to play in, and they are all modeled after their real-life counterparts down to every little detail. Crowds packed into the stands will realistically cheer for great plays which pulls you into the action, and helps to bring these stadiums to life. During actual matches, ball physics are realistic, AI reacts intelligently to plays, and all the players have their own unique stats which helps the action to be varied and exciting. All of these small details (and many more) combine to make this one of the most authentic and immersive soccer games currently available.

 House Rules mode is extremely fun and creative

An especially fun mode is House Rules, where you can turn toggle off various rules (such as fouls or offsides) which essentially means you can make the game as chaotic and hectic as you want. You're also able to set a wide variety of custom rulesets such as the team who scores a goal loses a player for the rest of the game, custom win conditions, make long range goals count for 2 points, only goals scored by headers count, and more. It takes the base fun of a soccer match and turns the fun up since it lets you get as creative as you want.

Ultimate Team Mode lets you custom build your own team, but in order to get all the best players you will have to grind excessively in-game or pay real money. It takes a mode that should be all about having fun building your dream team, but ultimately ruins it by turning it into a frustrating cash shop with microtransactions and random loot boxes.

The gameplay in the Madden series excellently plays out just like the professional American football league in real life. You get to play as teams from the current year's league, with rosters that are up-to-date with the latest players, including the biggest celebrity names. The actual NFL rules are in play as well, where you control your quarterback while on offense, passing to other players in order to score, or managing your defensive players when the other team has the ball, working to tackle them and earn turnovers. If you're a diehard fan of American football, then Madden NFL 19 is a great way to live out the experience of being in the NFL through a video game.

 Responsive and organic controls for maneuvering your players

The latest update to the long-running Madden series gives you more freedom in how you control your player when he has the ball. You can change your speed while running to throw off opponents, such as hesitating to force the other team to stop while you find an opening and make a run for the touchdown. You can also side step the defense, spin around other players, and pretty much pull off the same types of moves that you see in real life from players out in the field. This makes the game feel like much more of a simulation of the sport with the way you have much more natural control over your team members.

Madden NFL 19 is a great looking game. Players look true-to-life, with their exact proportions, hairstyles, and girth of their muscles matching how they are in actual pictures. You can see the sheen of sweat on their arms and see the ruffles in their uniform as they get tackled. And the weather is nice too, especially with how snow shows up on the field in patches and uneven patterns just like in real life. Just like with every other new Madden game, the devs did an incredible job with improving the graphics, keeping the technology advancing forward.

 Continues the story mode from Madden NFL 18

Madden NFL 18 had a pretty decent story mode that followed the careers of two best friends, with Madden NFL 19 continuing from where the last game left off. It's a nice change of pace to play through a dedicated story mode in a sports game, helping to show the more human side of the league and the types of things that many players go through, in trying to balance their private and family lives with their time out on the field. While it's not exactly a sweeping and intricate narrative, it's an interesting little bonus.

 More or less still the same old Madden

Honestly, if you've played any one Madden game, you've played them all. Aside from a few tweaks and experiments here and there, this is an annual franchise that banks on selling the same experience year after year. The graphics get better, and they keep the roster up to date for the current year the NFL season, but there isn't much else that they can do with a sports game that's meant to simulate professional American football. If you don't want to fork over the money to pay for this game when you've already played and enjoyed other Madden titles, you won't miss out on much.

There are some strange instances where players' bodies, or sometimes just their limbs, clip through each other in ways that clearly look bad. It happens a lot during tackles and sacks, with players tumbling around over each other on the field. Their physics just look off, clashing terribly with the polished graphics and weather effects on the field, and pulling you out of the experience.

There are some major problems where the game will crash, forcing you to boot everything back up to try and get back your lost progress. The devs should be able to put out a patch that takes care of this issue, so you may want to hold off on getting the game until then.

Even though it's great that Madden NFL 19 continues the well-received story mode from the last game, it doesn't really live up to expectations this time around. Getting to see the two best friends deal with their real-life struggles is still intriguing, but other than that, things feel really forced and generic, and it's way too short, taking about four hours to finish. They continued the story for the sake of continuing it without innovating or keeping things interesting. It's too bad, because they could have done a better job building on the sadly novel idea of having a dedicated story mode in Madden to change things up.

The characters you meet across the game who join your team as exiles all have their own backgrounds, quirks and motivations, making them feel real and full of life. Jodariel, the imposing, horned blonde woman featured in many of Pyre's promotional material, is a fan-favorite with an intriguing yet tragic backstory that belies her appearance. Every character throughout the story is just as compelling and memorable, making you want to help them through the Rites and for them to return back home.

Pyre's art is beautiful and well-crafted, with bright colors, great attention to detail, and character designs that reflect the exiles' roles on the playing field. Characters like Volfred Sandalwood have smart designs, with Volfred in particular designed as a commanding man who carries importance, with his bulk mirroring his role as a defensive player in the Rites.

Pyre is a mix of a fantasy visual novel with sports gameplay that links back to the plot. The story tells the tale of the game's many exiles, characters who were sent to Pyre's version of purgatory. These exiles can only return home by conquering the Rites alongside you, the game's 3v3 sport. As the story progresses, you grow close to the characters while learning about their backstories and motivation. Once they achieve their freedom, it will be time to say goodbye. There's a sense of accomplishment from growing attached to each of your team members while helping them return back home.
