Cons
Con The control scheme can get slightly frustrating
The touch controls of navigating in 3D can be difficult at times.
However, if you think about it, there really weren't any considerable other options for having the controls be - I wouldn't be able to think of alternatives which would work better. It's not THAT bad of a control scheme, it could just feel sluggish at times, but the game is best played when you're taking your time with it, anyway.
Con Ends abruptly
The Room is relatively short. Experienced players will be able to beat it in less than two hours. And it ends abruptly. Luckily there is a sequel.
Con The ending does have a problem
Ends on a cliffhanger - many people found the ending abrupt, but in fact it fits the pace of the first Room game. Cliffhangers aren't that problematic themselves, but what is disappointing is how The Room Two just. If you go somewhere else and the atmosphere went a bit more common for a 1st person adventure game of the darker type of Myst clone, the mystery we hadn't began to unravel went under the rug, and. Well, gotta have the damn crest puzzle and the even worse wooden ship puzzle, that's way more important than keeping the quality of the first THE ROOM up and present (not even talking about improved here). So yeah, cliffhanger is there - but its problem is how it went under the rug in the next games.
