_PRISM (yup, the underscore is necessary, but it's easier to find that way) is an abstract puzzler which I can describe as if THE ROOM series suddenly had become a lot more... well, ABSTRACT and the boxes you usually had to open in the first Room game had been replaced with shifting geometrical figures which are SIGNIFICANTLY EASIER to solve and open, at first, but it works due to the mesmerizing, relaxing design with a pinch of MYST-like mystery (what is this space, why am I opening all those spheres and cubes, why do they always shift and change in increasingly unbelievable ways and dimensions, and why do I need to get all of those... whatever those glowee things I get upon finishing each figure are). I'd recommend, however do keep in mind, that if you're coming off playing THE ROOM games and start this one, it wold most likely seem insultingly easy to solve in comparison.
But let's be realistic here - which 3d "open-the-thing-by-finding-something-to-drag-or-press-upon-the-surface-of-its-sides" puzzler DOESN'T seem a bit... not quite enough, if you play it directly after THE ROOM or compare it to THE ROOM too much? Exactly.
I, for one, were able to appreciate _PRISM for what it is - a fine looking, stylish locked-box puzzler which I enjoyed for the simpler thing it was while still being engaging enough, as well as being aesthetically pleasing enough, for me to enjoy a playthrough. Or two. Or three, counting the one I'd happily do the next time I have an hour to kill.
