The scenery is beautiful and incorporates clever Escher inspired gameplay mechanics
The gameplay for Monument Valley revolves around manipulating the environment in order to let your character proceed to the next level. It's similar to Fez in that it's obviously inspired by Escher paintings, requiring you to manipulate "impossible" architecture.

Relaxing gameplay that lends itself well to repeat plays
Between the pleasant graphics, soothing music and fun gameplay, the game allows itself to be relaxing yet still remain challenging. You never get a sense that the game is too tough, which is why the player can easily jump back into play no matter how many times they fall off the board.

It's a challenging game that's very addictive
As with any Mario game - you want to collect as many coins as possible. If you collect them all within one run, then a new, purple set of coins appears in harder to reach places. If you manage to get all of those, then a third set appears. It's incredibly addictive and will constantly put your skills to the test.

Incredibly satisfying to play
Super Mario Run features mechanics such as extending Mario's jump, slowing his fall, and somersaulting off of enemies. They're easy to pull off, difficult to master, and very satisfying to showcase.
