Pros
Pro Fun crafting system lets you get creative
AQ3D uses a crafting system called "fusion" which allows you to take any two items and fuse them together. For example, if you found a low level sword you've been enjoying but have since outleveled, you could combine it with a higher level weapon to increase its power and keep using it. This fusion can be done on most weapons and armor found anywhere in the game, letting you get really creative with your combinations and hold on to gear permanently.
Pro Flexible class sytem
One great thing about this game is that your character is never locked into a class. As long as you're out of combat, you are free to swap among the various classes including warrior, mage, guardian, and more. This means if you decide you don't like a particular class, you can swap to a new one without losing character levels or progress.
Pro Play co-op with your friends no matter what level they are
Thanks to a "sidekick" system, whenever you join a party with friends who are higher level, your character's level will be temporarily boosted. This allows you to enjoy dungeons and fight powerful bosses with your friends regardless of your character level.
Pro Play with friends on different operating systems
Instead of simply tweaking the game to work on mobile, in AdventureQuest 3D you can actually play with others on different operating systems - you can be on your phone, and your friend on a desktop computer while you both raid together.
Pro Fun writing style
The first character you meet in the open beta is Zorbak who sortof looks like an evil mouse. Some of the first dialogue you see goes like this:
[Zorbak] POP Quiz! What's worse than a zombie eating your entire family?
[You] WHAT!? Nothing is worse than that...
[Zorbak] Oh yes there is! Tutorials! I Freaking hate tutorials!!! You know...the kind that force you to click the things for like the entire first hour of game play. Spits. But - good news! I found the guy responsible for making THOSE kind of tutorials...meh heh...
[You] You did?
[Zorbak] Yup. Found him, and pushed him right into that undead army's path.
[You] what!?
[Zorbak] I know. I know. No need for thanks.
Cons
Con This game is still in Early Access
While some games have a very polished beta, there are still some rough edges in AdventureQuest 3D. Things aren't explained very well, and there doesn't seem to be a map yet. There isn't a way to adjust the camera sensitivity either. It has been in Early Access since 2016, and as of August 2018, it has not moved out of this phase.
