Pros
Pro Fast-paced arcade style action optimized for mobile
Swarms of enemy robots pursue and shoot at you through every level, meaning you'll always have to stay on your toes to dodge, roll, and shoot your way to the end of each map. Tapping to change targets and double to tapping roll is fluid, fun, and works surprisingly well on mobile devices. If your attackers ever get too close, a quick satisfying swipe on your screen will deliver a melee attack to knock them back a bit. There's very few pauses in the action and your fingers will always be moving, helping to keep the mobile gameplay action frantic and fun.
Pro Easily jump in and out of multiplayer games, thanks to the active servers
Meltdown features online co-op multiplayer that is cross platform. Despite the game's age, this allows for a large group of players in order to find a match at just about anytime. What is also nice, is how easy it is to jump into a match, as there is a simple menu of games in the multiplayer section. For those interested in playing with their friends, there is also a way to password protect an online match in order to only allow people you know to join in.
Pro Good gamepad support for a plethora of Android controllers, which allow for more fined grained controls
Meltdown has built in HID gamepad support as well as MOGA controller support. Using a controller allows for easier controls of the game, which can be helpful, especially for a game centered around online play.
Cons
Con Local co-op locked behind paywall
There is no local co-op available to players of the free download. An in-app-purchase will have to be bought in order to unlock that functionality. This prohibits many from playing the multiplayer sections of the game, due to being behind a paywall.
