AmiableBarastyr's Experience
I have lost a lot of time and money to cumbersome transaction processes but NANO solves this in a great way. With instant transactions, no fees, and it being deflationary, NANO becomes the best way to send money in the form of cryptocurrency. Also, it is eco friendly as it doesn't rely on proof of work mining which solves one of the biggest problems in cryptocurrency. I strongly recommend this cryptocurrency for both and investing.

Many people might want to hold nano longer term as demand grows and supply is limited. However fortunately there are no direct financial rewards for holding nano as opposed to proof of stake currencies.

Extremely positive, the only crypto that's actually useable as a currency. The UX is the same as centralised solutions like Venmo and Paypal, but while maintaining decentralisation and security and with 0 fees.

Lesser known compared to other alternatives - it doesn't have much presence outside of the crypto space
The Nano Foundation doesn't have a massive marketing budget. Nano does only one thing, and that one thing directly competes with Bitcoin. In the short term it's going to be very difficult for Nano.

First time i've used Nano was with a twitter faucet. The funds arrived the second i sent the tweet! Nano is incredibly fast (less than a second on average), has no fees (you send 1 nano, you get 1 nano, not 0.999999999 nano) and extremely efficient, meaning a tiny energy usage per transaction (6-10 million times less than bitcoin). The entire network at a average tps of 7000 could be run on the energy of a single wind turbine.

Very secure
In theory, in order to send a transaction you just need to notify the receiving wallet, making it fully P2P (Peer-to-Peer).

HilariousSunWukong's Experience
Great crypto that actual has some utility and is not just clone or a token building on an already existing network. Also been checking out IOTA, HBAR, QTUM, XRP, XTM and a bunch of others beside the obvious top coins by market cap using PoW. Every coin has drawbacks and short comings. NANO is the one that has the overall best round up of advantages with the fewest short comings and the most potential in my opinion.

Takes a long time for transaction to confirm
It takes on average 10 minutes for a block to be added to the blockchain. You may want to wait for multiple blocks to be added to the blockchain to be sure that there's no tampering happening with the blockchain. The usual recommendation for larger transactions is to wait for 6 blocks before confirming the transaction which comes down to an hour on average.

Slow and expensive. Transactions take between 10 minutes and multiple days. I've paid transaction fees between $5 and $80. And one transaction uses the same energy as driving 3300 miles with a electric car. Do you really want to use something like this?
