If you monetize your musical tracks directly from SoundCloud platform, must have a Pro Unlimited subscription (paying 99$/year) and reach at least 1.000 streams/month whereas if you monetize them with a free basic account, must sign up via RouteNote free music distribution service with a free subscription, in which RouteNote keep 15% of your earnings from SoundCloud but keeps in mind that the monetization directly from SoundCloud subscription plan is not "forever" because unless you reach 1.000 streams/month the SoundCloud monetization stops whereas the monetization with RouteNote is "forever". I've used RouteNote for several years. Seriously considered CDBaby, Distrokid and Reverbnation. The main factor for me is the simplicity of the pricing and no annual fees after release. The main disadvantage is it takes longer for releases to reach digital music platforms. I like seeing Bandcamp included - I also use Bandcamp but I use it to sell directly. Bandcamp does not have a 'distrubution' service as I define it. See More
