I can run 5 Instances of Chrome at the same time. I also run Brave; Std, Beta & Developer (same with Opera, same setup) since closing one of the Brave ones do not close the others like what happens in Chrome (very, very, very annoying). I also run Waterfox so I can sync tabs with my iPhone (I like Firefox's old extensions). I just installed Vivaldi again (newer laptop with 12gb RAM but still Chrome leaves me with 1.8GB usually max after I get going using my laptop). Let alone my CPU use with Chrome. Brave and Vivaldi use Chrome Extensions too. Vivaldi has a Standalone install option, just tried running all 3 I installed so far and closing one keeps the others open !!! So I'm probably going to slowly move away from Chrome for now and just switch to Brave (3 version), Vivaldi and Opera (3 versions, but not the same Session Manager I'm used to so Vivaldi will probably be used more and more now).. Since I run numerous Chrome users I used my old laptops settings profile extensions and used Developer mode to install them / transfer them. Now I always get the Developer mode popup, very annoying. Found a workaround with https://github.com/Ceiridge/Chrome-Developer-Mode-Extension-Warning-Patcher/releases' But need to do it with every Chrome update, wow, PITA. Chrome Seriously EATS up the Resources !!! https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/releases Might have to click on Assets icon to see some of them. I did try to see if Brave has a standalone installer where I could choose Advanced and install it like I did Vivaldi. Used RevoUninstaller Pro Tracer option in case I screwed things up (used for many, many years). Tried numerous options and all it did was update my already installed versions. No Advanced options, so that was very disappointing in case I really want this to become my main browser, which I was leaning towards. Like it on my iPhone, can use FaceID to lock it down. Make a desktop notepad with name of browser and date last used with notes in Title what you used it for last. Overtime this really, really helps.
