The right earcup has volume and playback controls as well as a button for answering phone calls if pair with a phone. The left earcup has micro-USB and audio jack ports as well as a power button. They're well spaced and differentiated enough that finding with touch is easy.
Due to the placement of the controls (on the outside of the ear cup) they can sometimes be easily accidentally pressed. While it is good for easy access it can be a pain when the users accidentally hits them.
There is an included cable for Apple devices as well as standard micro USB to allow for the headphones to charge and still be listened to in a wired mode as well as an included bluetooth wireless mode.
Beats are known for their looks and these are no different, there are six (white, blue, red, titanium, and black matte and black glossy) available color options so that basically any outfit can be matched if one has a penchant to.
The rechargeable battery for the device is built in with no way to remove it, so once the battery runs out of charge cycles there will be no way to replace the battery making the headphones pretty much useless.
For those that have really good sound cards sadly their tech will not be able to be taken advantage of as these headphones use an inbuilt chip that will be limited in comparison to some of the better cards out there. Sadly there is no way around this.
