Charge or leap across the map, slow down time, raise above the field and hail your enemies with fire, incinerate the ground, or freeze your foes. These are just a few examples. Abilities can be upgraded to increase their power and obtain new game-changing effects. The upgrade takes time though but can be sped up using in-game currency. The combat requires tactical thinking: Facing a horde of monsters: pull them together using Vortex, incinerate the ground beneath them, use your AOE attacks then freeze them in place to maximize the damage. You can fuse rings & amulets to obtain legendary versions of them while being able to choose the final stats. Really feels like crafting. Or you can fuse any other 3 items with a chance to get a better version. Gemstones can be socketed into your gear to customize your character. See More
You can have up to 3 companions following you into battle. They are controlled by the AI but you can use their main abilities. The companions abilities are quite strong and enable powerful combos. Companions to choose from: tank: taunts enemies and has a charge stunning the enemies in a large area healer: heals your team and can use vortex - pulling enemies towards a target spot ranger: comes with a nifty attack speed aura and can shoot a hail of arrows in a cone to inflict a lot of damage mage: has a cooldown reduction aura and can cast a powerful chain lightning See More
Developer ignores players who cheat, as long as they spend some money. Witnessed long term players have fully maxed gear hours after it has been released. In order to Max you need to get the same gear 7 times. Drops are random and there are several hundred different items that can drop. Chests costs about $80 USD. Probably a 1 in 500 chance of a drop. The main aspect of the included in app purchases is to remove wait times and long grinding sessions. Of course the game was specifically designed to have the obstacles in order to force players into paying repeatedly over the games life. Essentially, an endless money suck. With in app purchases ranging from $0.99 - $99.99 per item it is pretty obvious that the game was designed to pull in as much money as they can convince people to plunk down. See More
Any free to play game needs a way to make money and Dungeon Quest is no different. There are many items that one can purchase that are not too egregious such as cosmetic items like pets, but considering many of the in app purchases are temporary stat boosts and potions and only there as way to make the game easier, one has to wonder if the game was designed to be unfairly balanced in order to earn more money. While Dungeon Quests in app purchases do not go as high as some games (ranging from $0.99-$19.99) the highest priced is still for in game currency that can be purchased over and over again, in turn making the cost of this game essentially limitless.
