Pros
Pro Great to excellent performance options
GT72 comes with a GeForce GTX 980M graphics card that, as of March, 2015, is the most powerful GPU available.
In the real world, GTX 980M allows running Evolve, Shadow of Mordor, Battlefield 4, on ultra at 62, 66, 72 fps on average respectively.
There are 2 CPU options - i7-4710HQ and i7-4980HQ with PassMark's scores of 7,956 and 10,087. As of March, 2015 the i7-4980HQ has the top PassMark score for a laptop CPU. And while the i7-4710HQ is still a good choice, it should be noted that it is about 20% less performant than the i7-4980HQ.
16GB, 24GB and 32GB DDR3L 1600MHz RAM configurations are available. Although anything past 16GB is overkill for gaming.
The laptop has either a 128GB or 256GB M.2 SSD and 1TB of HDD storage. Files read from SSD will load quicker so it's recommended for the operating system and software or games that are run regularly or can take advantage of the quicker load times.
Cons
Con Somewhat poor display for most models
Most Dominator models have TN panels with a poor color accuracy of 10.3 Delta-E, color reproduction at 88.5 percent of the sRGB gamut and not very bright at 255 nits.
The 445 and 444 models have IPS displays that don't suffer from these issues, but they cost $3300 and $3800 respectively and at that point it's probably worth upgrading to a more performant laptop overall.
Still, it's worth noting that TN panels have lower latency as compared to IPS panels, but not by much (3-5ms).
