Con Free-to-play monetization in a AAA game
You have to purchase a new season pass each year to be able to get 8 characters 7 days earlier than the average players do, and you get them instantly. Those who do not wish to pay will have to grind for renowns (currency in-game) to purchase each character and will have to wait 7 days while other people get to play the character before you can purchase it with your hard earned renowns.
Con Lack of single-player content
If you prefer playing on your own or want to play a campaign, Rainbow Six Siege will not be much fun, because it relies heavily on team gameplay and doesn't have much single-player action.
Con Most of the content is locked until you reach a certain level
When you start playing, most of the game modes, characters, and gear are unavailable. To unlock them, you will have to invest tens of hours.
