This feature is called ClamXav Sentry, and this is what really makes this application valuable, it is a real time scanner that monitors changes in files and directories. It does require some setup and configuration to have functioning properly. Ideally you want to include directories where files are downloaded into your system for ClamXav Sentry to monitor. In order for the app to protect ones device the app has to remain open at all times. This may cause trouble if the OS shuts down the app due to low memory or if the user accidentally closes the app. It is also an issue as an always open app will be using RAM, something that might not be able to be spared and will use more battery than if it was not open.
