The contacts in the device are very sensitive. If you don't place the battery in just right, it will only work for a short period of time before the battery needs to be readjusted or replaced.

The Up Move can detect how well you’re sleeping. It monitors your heart rate and determines how long you were in deep sleep and how long you were in light sleep. Additionally, it shows how much time it took for you to fall asleep and how many times you woke up during the night.
You can sync your Up Move with your smartphone and see your progress in the app. You can see how many steps you’ve taken and the pace of those steps. It also shows how many calories you’ve burned.
A small light that goes around in a circle at the edges of the device will show you the progress of your daily goal. The display shuts off when there's no activity.
