Updated
When released, this was known as the Dell Inspiron 15 7000 series (the specific model number was 7559). It has since been re-branded to the more attractive name it currently has.
Specs
Pros
Pro Decent performance
While the 4GB graphics card isn't utilized to its full potential, the GTX 960M and i5-6300HQ paired with 8GB of RAM works very well for a budget option.
At high settings, the Inspiron 15 Gaming Series' base model can achieve an average of 70 FPS in Batman: Arkham Origins. For very high graphics, Metro Last Night ran at 18 FPS and Thief was around 28 FPS. On ultra settings it scrored 43 FPS in Bioshock Infinite, and 26 FPS in Hitman: absolution
Pro User-accessible internals
You can upgrade to a SSD and increase the RAM yourself very easily. After removing the single screw on the bottom (and clicking the panel out) you have easy access to a M.2 SSD slot as well as the RAM (which is configured in a single 8GB stick with one slot open). This means that instead of paying expensive upgrades on Dell's site, you can upgrade the hardware yourself for a fraction of the cost.
Pro 6th generation processors
The base $800 model comes with the i5-6300HQ (quad core up to 3.2GHz), but for $100 more you can get the i7-6700HQ (quad core up to 3.5GHz). The 6th generation processors aren't much more powerful than 5th gen, however they are more power efficient (meaning longer battery life)
Cons
Con Mediocre build
The body is all plastic - there's no metal to be found. The plastic isn't even one single piece - there's a separate rougher section surrounding the keyboard. The screen flexes and bounces (important if considering a more expensive touchscreen model). Dell cut corners on the build for sure.
