5-10 players are all dealt a character card - keep these cards secret from the other players. Blue means you're part of the resistance (good guys), red means you're a spy (bad guys). During each round a team is assembled by a team leader, all players vote whether or not they want that team to go on the mission, and if the vote passes the players receive their mission cards. Resistance members need to play the succeed card, but spies can play either the succeed card (to stay hidden and gain trust) or the fail card. There are 5 missions - best out of 5 wins.
Pro Discussion orientated, unlimited re-playability
The Resistance is all about the player's discussions. Discussion is encouraged between rounds where players accuse each other. As players gain the group's trust (or lose it) the game dynamics change (they'll be put on more/less missions, and other players will trust their opinion more/less).
Pro Easy to learn
Most people can pick up the game and be very comfortable playing it after 2 rounds (if you are still friends by then). There are only 3 parts to a round - choose the team, vote for the team, and then the team members choose their action. this continues for 3-5 rounds - best of 5 wins.
