The monitor grants reasonably responsive gaming experience as it’s input lag is only 11.35 milliseconds. While some gaming panels are up to four times faster, it’s unlikely that you will feel disconnected even while playing fast-paced games.
The motion appears relatively clear with only some small traces of motion blur as each pixel of the Philips BDM4037UW can change its color in almost no time due to the monitor’s full pixel response time of 4 ms.

Not only the Philips BDM4037UW displays dark scenes and dark elements with a good atmosphere to them, but it also manages to nail the color reproduction and intermediate tone field. Dark scenes look rich as the monitor’s native contrast ratio of 4457:1 allows it to reproduce intense and deep blacks. Colors pop and look vivid as the monitor’s panel can get up to 312 nits bright. Mid-tones look realistic thanks to the monitor’s gamma of 2.2.
Furthermore, the monitor’s average color inaccuracy dE of 0.84 tells that the color inaccuracies of the Philips BDM4037UW are such minor that the human eye can't see those.
Pro Works well with current-generation consoles
This monitor is an excellent companion for any current-generation gaming console, including the Xbox One X and the PS4 Pro because of its full 4K60 support. With this monitor, you’ll be able to unleash the full potential of those consoles.
Additionally, as the monitor has noticeably lower input lag than the overwhelming majority of TVs.
Cons
Con Not suitable for macOS
This monitor will not work well with macOS because it uses a non-conventional BGR subpixel layout instead of the regular RGB that is used by the majority of panels these days. Unfortunately, the macOS doesn’t have the right tools to work with the BGR monitors.
