This is the wireless variant of the popular Void headset. Sound quality has good detail but the bass is a bit lacking.
Dolby 7.1 virtual surround sound enhances positional audio. RGB lighting adjustment is also present, giving extra customization options.
Pro 7.1 surround sound enhances sound imaging
With the Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound feature activated, in-game audio sound as if they are coming from distinct directions. This really helps to improve gaming immersion, and can also enhance audio cues to pinpoint the location of nearby in-game allies or enemies.
Pro Cushioned ear pads help to enhance comfort
The ear pads and headband feature thick cushioning which helps to minimize pressure on the ears and sides of the head. The pads are covered with a mesh material which allows for some airflow around the ears, and somehow helps to minimize heat build-up.
Pro RGB lighting customization
Through Corsair's CUE software, users can choose from a wide range of color combinations for the lights on the left and right ear cups. Different lighting patterns can also be selected, and can be set to match with other RGB equipped computers and gaming peripherals.
Con RGB lighting puts a heavy toll on battery life
Keeping the RGB lighting on while using the headset can substantially drop battery life. There can be a reduction of anywhere from 3 to 6 hours of playback time, depending on the brightness of the lights and lighting effects used. If optimal battery duration is important, then consider turning off the lights when using the headset.
Con The weight can cause discomfort and fit issues
The Void wireless is large and features metal accents which, along with the internal battery and other components, make this headset quite heavy. This puts extra strain on the neck which can be uncomfortable over time. The weight also causes the headset to tilt forward, and can be quite annoying, especially if this starts to happen in the heat of the game.
