Pros
Pro Screen is well suited for Pokémon hunting in any condition
The 5.5" 1440p Amoled display is great for Pokémon GO, as it is the brightest phone screen to date (728 cd/m² ). This makes it easy to see the Pokémon around you without needing to find shade or hold your hand over the screen.
Even at night, this display is ideal for Pokémon GO. Because it uses Amoled technology, the black pixels are completely turned off which means that the screen can get much darker than LCD displays, reducing eye-strain when walking around at night.
In addition, if you use the battery saver feature of GO, nearly the entire display will completely shut off (the top status bar remains on). This saves much more power than a LCD screen would save using this feature.
Pro Waterproof
The Galaxy S7 Edge is rated IP68, which means that it is dustproof, as well as waterproof to 1.5m (~3ft) for 30 minutes. This means that it can handle the rain easily, and even if you drop it in a puddle (providing the fall doesn't break any of the water-tight seals) it will come out good as new.
Pro Battery charges quickly
If you are getting ready to GO, it's a wise decision to quickly top your battery up before leaving. The Galaxy S7 Edge supports Qualcomm QuickCharge 2.0, which allows it to charge from 0-60% in just 30 minutes (using the in-box adapter and cable). This means you'll be ready to GO quicker with the Galaxy S7 Edge.
Pro Great battery life
Pokémon GO puts a constant strain on the battery through constant GPS and data connections. This isn't helped by the bright screen and intermittent camera use (for augmented reality). This game is one of the most power-hungry mobile titles currently available.
The Galaxy S7 Edge has a large 3600mAh battery inside. It can achieve 24h29m of 3G talk time, 20h08m of continuous video playback, and 13h32m of constant web browsing - all very good results.
In terms of Pokémon GO however, you can expect about 20% battery drain per hour. This may seem low, if you haven't played yet, but it is indeed a very good result.
Cons
Con Not very durable
The Gorilla Glass 4 display on the S7 Edge holds up great against scratches, but it's still very possible to crack the screen from dropping it. If you dropped the S7 Edge on your Pokémon adventure, it's much more likely that it will land on the glass as opposed to the metal frame as both the front and back glass panels are curved at the edges.
Con Heats up during long game plays
One issue is heating when games are played for 3hrs without break. Unless you're in an area with cold weather, you can be lucky at playing for 4-5hrs without the phone heating up.
Con Edges of the screen make it harder to catch Pokémon
Most people grip their phone around the edges. On the S7 Edge, those edges are tiny and often your fingers (or palm) will hit the edge of the screen. While catching Pokémon, this can lead to you throwing a Pokéball to the edge of the screen, wasting your precious resources.
