As you progress through the game you get skills that allow you to travel and explore much faster by jumping through the air. Because of the incredibly vertical nature of the world, you can do awesomely perilous jumps from one part of the level to another. See More
The game is not optimized as it has no vsync, which for such a simple graphic game, there should be no reason to turn off vsync for performance unless it was poorly programmed. On top of this the lack of vsync doesn't even afford the game a 60fps framerate. See More
