Awesomenauts works as distilled down gameplay of a regular MOBA and is played on a 2d side scrolling plane. This has made it easier to be played on consoles as well as for first time MOBA players.

Con Dead community
Compared to most, this game's community is mostly dead. If you want to play a match, you'll have to beg your steam friends to join a game.
The game's creators even went so far as to give away thousands of copies of the base game away for free some months ago. But people have given up on this game.
Con Gameplay is boring
Can be fun for getting steam achievements but soon after, the game can quickly get very boring.
