Even though cost saving is pretty apparent in all aspects of this kit, the design itself is pretty nice. The heat spreader is a simple stamped metal affair which has been painted black. While not anything too fancy, it still looks quite nice.
The HyperX kit has been designed as a budget kit, but even then, it suffers considerably in benchmarks compared to other kits which are only a little bit more expensive.
The performance for this kit is inconsistent at best. Its speed in Cinebench and Geekbench were average and went from good to bad in other CPU tests: fast in the Dolphin Emulator test and great in Mozilla Kraken, but it ranked poorly with wPrime benchmarks.
For its price, this RAM kit performs decently in benchmarks. The Cinebench multi-core score of 526cb is good and the Geekbench single and multi-core speeds of 3823 and 11500 are pretty good.
It also excels in video-encoding, where it consistently tops the tables in benchmarks compared to even more expensive alternatives.
