Flagged Pros + Cons
Con No offline mode
But if you have internet when coding, you can look stuff up so it might not be an issue for everyone.
Out of Date Pros + Cons
Con Trivial Visual Studio Code port
The VS Code port is quite not as full featured and feels messy compared to its desktop cousin - its also legally questionable since Visual Studio has a different license than the GitHub version.
Con Dashboard doesn't feel responsive
when switching to a new view in the dashboard, it feels they are seperate pages than just one page with multiple views - UX wise, this feels too clunky.
Con Current version is too alpha
While it is usable - the current alpha is not as full featured as the competition like TypeFox's Gitpod, or CloudReady Toolchains by Red Hat. The platform itself may take a while to brew, so there are more to change to it.
Con 3GB HDD is too few
A typical project requires more than 3GB, which sadly to say, the crux of such small storage, might be its Alpha status.
Con VS Code port is not as full featured as its desktop cousin
Some shortcuts are not available, and the original keybinds are replaced. For a seasoned VS Code user, this can throw you off.
