Light and generally gets out of your way. I like that i don't have to stare at my user and computer name all the time. More real-estate for commands. Good for tiling window managers, as well as stacking ones. Have not seen tabs being supported though, but it is a non-issue for me.

Con Installation is not documented or automated

There's no documentation on how to install, and it is not necessarily widely-packaged. People compile from source, and then run into issues because the dependencies are not clearly documented (see e.g. https://github.com/thestinger/termite/issues/509).
Luckily it looks like a third-party has written a script to automate the installation (https://github.com/Corwind/termite-install/blob/master/termite-install.sh) but since it is not officially supported, no way to ensure that it remains up-to-date.
