Updated
This is a modern, low-maintenance version of the classic grill pan. Although it won't feel as authentic as a cast iron one, it's much easier to handle and keep clean.

Pros
Pro The maintenance is very easy
You don't have to do much to keep this pan clean and shiny. It has three layers of non-stick coating (so that you don't have to worry about scratching it off) and after applying just a little bit of olive or vegetable oil, nothing sticks to the surface of the pan and it's very simple to clean after use. Additionally, it is completely dishwasher-safe.
Cons
Con The cooking experience is lacking compared to a cast iron pan
Although the anodized aluminum pan is much easier to keep clean and rust-free, it's not as good as a cast iron one when it comes to cooking. It will take an extra couple of minutes to heat up, and the heat isn't distributed as evenly. If you're a foodie, you will likely notice that your meal doesn't taste as authentic as you would hope.
