Focusrite Scarlett Solo is a simple 2 in / 2 out USB audio interface featuring a headphone amp, stereo line-out with RCA connectors to connect it to a pair of active monitors or an external amplifier, and a mic/line input for recording purposes. Great for people who want a simple stereo set-up, or who want to set-up a small home studio for music production or podcasting, but in case you are looking for a general purpose sound card for gaming and home theater use, there are better alternatives.

Pros
Pro Low latency
Low latency is especially crucial for people who use DAWs and other recording software as longer lags in the audio playback/record would result in quality issues and general irritation. This interface promises zero latency, but the actual latency depends also on other aspects of your set-up, such as processing power, hard drive read/write speeds, software and, at least in theory, the length of the cables. The latency issues can be compensated with the software, as the playback can be delayed by the amount of latency perceived, thus eliminating the problem.
