The mixer has an electronic speed sensor which is designed to maintain the same speed under different load conditions, for example - when mixing thick dough, the mixer automatically adjusts speed to suit the consistency and to not slow down under the load. Hamilton mixer comes with 12 speed settings, however, on the mixer the settings are listed as 2-4-6-8-10-12 which might confuse some of the users of thinking there are only 6 speed settings. See More
