Instead of a complete zipper the quilt uses a short zipper to help fully enclose the foot box, before switching to buttons and buckles above. The down flap acts like a comforter and you can pull it up around your body on colder nights. Although the bag has a low temperature rating and theoretically can be used in very cold nights you will most likely have a hard time doing it. That is because of the wide shoulder and head area that doesn’t cover you tightly. You will have to wrap around the comforter around your face tightly and avoid moving much to keep this area isolated from cold drafts. See More
