It takes all the hassle out of taking pills
The Hero makes taking your pills as convenient as it can get. It sounds a gentle alarm to remind you about your medication; all you have to do then is press a button and receive it. It also notifies you when you start to run low on a drug so you aren't caught by surprise.

It's very expensive
This is a great device, but it's also very expensive. If you're on a budget, it would make sense to look into older and less sophisticated pill dispensers starting from $30.

It's a great option for seniors
Despite being a modern technological device, the Hero is fairly easy to use, even for seniors. You can get it for you parents, for example, without worrying that they won't be able to figure it out. Once the alarm sounds, they only need to press the large button in the center to dispense the drugs. The Hero can send you smartphone notifications to inform you about whether or not they are taking their medication.

It's a good option for a fair price
While there are newer and more sophisticated pill dispensers out there, the Med-e-lert still offers one of the best deals for the money. It has an alarm and a lock, which makes it suitable for giving pills to seniors. It's reliable, straightforward to fill and to use, and it only costs around $80, while high-tech dispensers usually go for several hundreds of dollars.

It's quite dated
This is a reliable device to be sure, but much more convenient models have been released in recent years: smart pill dispensers with smartphone notifications for if someone didn't take their pill or when you're running low on medication.

It's great for forgetful people
This dispenser can be programmed to sound an alarm when the patient is scheduled to take his or her pills. It will keep going for 30 minutes or until the dispenser is flipped over to take out the pill. If the pill wasn't taken with the alarm, it will be kept safely inside.
