The bass is full, has great depth and hits with a lot of power and slam. The mids are also full and forward. Vocals, guitars and keys sound very clear and they are very easy to appreciate. The highs have a good amount of detail but are slightly rolled off, making these sound smooth. See More
The SE846 comes with two extra sound filters which you can swap the stock one to. There is a set of filters for a more bassy sound, and another set for a more treble-centric sound signature. The filters can be swapped out using the included tool to open up the earpieces. With this feature, you will be able to actually change the sound to further suit your preference. See More
The 8 drivers combine to produce a pretty flat and balanced sound. The bass is tight and controlled. Extension is deep yet is not bloated in any way. The mids are full and has a good warmth to it, so vocals are very clear without being too forward or overpowering. There is a lot of detail that can be heard from the highs, yet the frequencies are tuned just right to avoid harshness. The accuracy makes these great not just for music enjoyment, but also as reference in-ears for mixing/monitoring. See More
You get two sets of headphone cables. The stock cable is the standard Westone cable which provides great sound, along with the convenience of an in-line remote and microphone. For an optimal music listening experience however, you can swap out to the premium ALO cable which helps to bring out the best sound from these headphones thanks to the premium materials used in its construction. Cayin shot for an IEM that offers great and yummy upper mids and amazing depth of field factor. They hit the mark. That build quality is stellar and just so sexy. The Fantasy is one of the best-looking IEMs that I own, without a shadow of a doubt. They offer visually pleasing waterfalls of awesomeness. So stylish, powerful-looking, as well as sculptured with artistic value. If you like bass quantity, you will need to boost it a fair bit to achieve, but that is okay because it retains excellent control at high boost levels. The Fantasy is a chameleon and sounds great on any device, from a trashy low-end phone output to a good low-end DAP, to a higher-end desktop amplifier. This is a can-do-anything IEM and a solid generalist in the sub $1000 field. See More
The Odin is a technical beast bar none with masterful levels of control from the dual subwoofer configuration right up to that nuanced treble tuning. Nothing is overdone, even those forward upper mids are beautifully tempered by a coherent treble tuning. Sure, it is gripping, it is vivid and not something I could call terribly relaxed in its delivery. Yet, it avoids the pitfalls of ‘exciting tuning’ by laying off high-contrast parlor tricks that can often steer your ear down the fatiguing direction for all the wrong reasons. Best universal high-end I have heard in 2020. See More
